Climbing in Gerlos

The Zillertal provides many possibilities for climbing fans who want to pursue their passion during their holidays as well. The region does not only offer 9 via ferrata, one climbing gym, one bouldering gym and an outdoor climbing tower but also 4 high-rope courses which invite to feel an adrenaline rush in dizzy heights!

The climbing tower directly at our doorstep: With the new 12 m high climbing tower Gerlos is offering another sports attraction. The tower is comfortably situated opposite our Landhotel Maria Theresia providing the possibility to make first climbing attempts or to choose a challenging route up in dizzy heights.

You can test your skills at the newly constructed practice via ferrata Riederklamm with various routes in different levels of difficulty: 3 via ferrata between 40 - 150 m long are offered!

Water fun for the whole family

Reservoir Durlaßboden: Whether you want to splash around with the whole family, have a relaxing sun-bath or make an exciting trip with the paddleboat - the artificial lake Durlaßboden in Gerlos is very popular with young and old holiday makers providing a cool refreshment on hot summer days. During hot summer months the spring water of the reservoir warms up to pleasant 21 °C offering a perfect refreshment!

Canyoning and rafting: Roping down, jumping into the water, conquering waterfalls and climbing across stones: On the way from Gerlos to Zell the Schwarzach canyon enthralls every water fan.
Put the boat into the water and off you go! It's getting really exciting at rafting tours: Equipped with a paddle you have to cope with the river and its waves! You want water action? Canyoning and rafting are undoubtably the perfect sport activities for all adventurers who want to experience something very special!

For even more action you have to test the flying fox, the climbing crag or do paragliding!
